Tokyo, Japan (Tokyo Station)
The Lobby Lounge is on the 28th floor near Tokyo Station, which means that you can get a really nice view if you’re seated near the window. I went in March, which is the start of cherry blossom season in Japan, hence all the pink.
The Shangri-La does a good job of changing up their menu to match the season. Plus if you’re a part of the Shangri-La Afternoon Tea Club (only in Japanese), you can be invited to exclusive limited edition tea events. Registration is free, the points add up to gifts, and you get a Shangri-La stuffed bear as a present your first time after registering. A win-win-win situation!
There was no need to rush the afternoon through, just sit back comfortably. In typical Japanese fashion, they come around to check up on you frequently and let you switch teas as many times as you want.
Tea 5/5, unlimited, good variety
Atmosphere 4/5, ask for a seat by the window
