Afternoon Tea at The Lobby Lounge, Shangri-La Hotel Tokyo (2nd time)

Since I had such a good experience at the Shangri-la the first time, I had high hopes for this second experience.  

The Shangri-la changes it’s menu seasonally and being autumn, included ingredients to match.  The choices were heartier: sesame scones, mushrooms in the savories, chestnuts in the sweets, and lots of chocolate.  You can also see a drastic change in the colors from the pale pinks in spring.



Being a part of the Shangri-la Afternoon Club provided some additional benefits.  The mini-tiered stand included more tea cookies and chocolate covered candied orange and ginger, all for free.  We could barely even finish everything!

Overall, the Shangri-la didn’t disappoint.  Although, I did prefer the spring menu slightly.
