Caffetteria del Corso, Palermo

Palermo, Sicily

Sicily is known for granita, so I wanted to try it while in Palermo.  After doing from research, Caffetteria del Corso is known for having the best in town.  Entering the Caffetteria del Corso is like taking a step back in time.

Everything looked like it hasn’t really been changed since the 1950s and maybe hasn’t been cleaned in the same amount of time.  But it did have a kind of old time charm.

This being said, the granita was so good.  By the recommendation of the owner, I had a strawberry and milk granita mix.

Although the owner doesn’t speak too much English, he was very friendly and pleased to know that his cafe/bar is known for its granita online.  Definitely a good option on a hot (or any temperature) day!
